Welcome to the Sweethearts & Heroes Weaver Series masterclass on the "how" of Circle.
Weaver Series: Lesson 1
Let's introduce you to the concept of the Weaver. The role of a facilitator or Weaver in a Circle is much like that of a spider building its web to nourish all the spiderlings.
Weaver Series: Lesson 2
Our Circle process ALWAYS starts with motion. This will make participants want to return and lay the foundation for building strong relationships.
Weaver Series: Lesson 3
The foundation of every Circle should be Dignity — this is the value and worth we all possess as human beings.
Weaver Series: Lesson 4
Dignity is very fragile. To ensure it is upheld in Circle, we establish a few guidelines that maintain the worth everyone brings to the conversation.
Weaver Series: Lesson 5
The first key element of the guidelines in Circle is the Talking Piece. This is the central object in Circle, and no one should talk without holding the Talking Piece.
Weaver Series: Lesson 6
Our second guideline strongly promotes the art of listening. With this guideline, we establish that the Talking Piece should maintain a single direction around the Circle, allowing everyone an opportunity to share.

Our third guideline says that it’s okay to pass the Talking Piece without speaking. After all, listening is the most essential thing in Circle.

Our final guideline is the most crucial for building trust and establishing a secure Circle environment: What’s said in the Circle stays in the Circle.

Once the guidelines are set, the real work begins with Connection Questions and Radius Lines. These early threads of the web spark empathy and perspective-taking.

The Guide Wire is all about drawing attention to individual strengths, reorienting perspectives, creating connections, and gently exploring differences.

Once your Circle group has established a strong foundation, it might be time to dive into some "stinky" issues and "Put the Fish on the Table" with the Auxiliary Spiral.
Weaver Series: Lesson 12
Just as we open Circle with an Activator, we like to close Circle with something special. It is best to focus on gratitude.
